Terms of Service

About these terms

They cover your use of this website. They are not the terms of any engagement with SKAIYON. That work is governed by a separate written agreement, and nothing here varies it.

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not, stop using it.

This site is information, not advice

Everything published here is general information about what we do and how we think about the work. It is not consulting advice, legal advice, financial advice or technical advice for your situation, and reading it creates no advisory relationship and no contract between us.

Nothing on this site is an offer. A quote request is a request, not an offer and not a contract; nothing here is a binding price; and no page, form, email or reply commits either of us to anything until there is a signed agreement.

Accuracy

We publish what we believe to be correct at the time of writing, and we correct what we find to be wrong. We do not warrant that every page is complete or current, and we may change any of it without notice.

Where a figure comes from our own work, it carries what was measured or estimated, by whom, over what period, and against what baseline. Where we could not state that, the figure is not published.

Third-party research and statistics

Some pages cite research published by other organisations. Those figures are theirs, not ours. We have not independently verified them, we do not endorse the methodology behind them, and citing a source is not agreement with everything that source says.

Each reflects what the publisher reported for the population and period stated beside it, at the time we read it. Any of it may since have been revised, superseded or withdrawn. Where a figure matters to a decision, go to the publication itself — we name it so you can.

This paragraph is about third-party material. It does not apply to our own published claims.

Links to other sites

External links are provided because the source is worth reading. We have no control over those sites, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their handling of your information. Following one is your decision.

Client names, logos and the tools carousel

Client names and logos are displayed with that client's written permission. All trademarks, trade names and logos remain the property of their respective owners, and nothing here transfers or licenses any right in them.

A client's logo indicates a working relationship. It is not that client endorsing SKAIYON, and it is not a claim about a result. Permission to name is not permission to quantify.

The tools carousel is in two rows and they mean different things. The first row is software used in delivered work. The second row is integrate on request: those are platforms we can build against, not evidence that we have built against them for a client, and no named platform on this site should be read as a working integration we can demonstrate.

If you own a mark shown here and want it removed, email us and we will remove it.

Testimonials

Testimonials are the individual's own words, given and approved in writing. Each describes that engagement only. None of it is a prediction, a projection or a promise about what any other engagement would produce.

No guarantee of outcome

We do not guarantee any business outcome, any figure, any timeline or any uptime.

We also cannot guarantee the behaviour of any third-party platform, API or model we build against. Those services change their terms, their pricing, their interfaces and their behaviour without reference to us, and a system that works today may need work when they do.

The chat assistant

The assistant on this site is automated. It answers from material published here and it can be wrong, incomplete or out of date.

It is not advice, and nothing it says forms an offer, a quote, a price, a commitment or a contract. It cannot agree anything on our behalf. Where an answer matters, confirm it with a person by emailing us.

Do not type confidential information into it. What happens to what you type is set out in the privacy policy.

Using this site

You may read, share and reference what is here, with attribution. You may not republish it as your own, or use it to train a model for commercial resale.

Do not attempt to disrupt the site or the services behind it, probe or circumvent its security, submit anything unlawful through its forms, use it to send unsolicited messages, or extract its content at a scale or rate that degrades it for anyone else.

We may refuse or withdraw service, decline any request, and block access, at our discretion.

Intellectual property

The content, copy, design, charts and code of this site are SKAIYON's, except third-party marks and cited material, which belong to their owners.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or business interruption, arising from your use of this site or from anything published on it.

This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under the law of the United Arab Emirates.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site.

Changes

If these terms change, the date above changes with them.

Questions. Asked before every engagement.

Your data is yours. You can export it at any time, and it is exported to you in a documented format before any engagement closes. The software itself is licensed: we build it around your business, host it, and run it, and you pay monthly for that. If you'd rather own it outright, that's possible. It's a different kind of engagement and it's priced accordingly. Licensing keeps maintenance our problem rather than yours, which is why it is the default.

Two weeks' notice, either side. Your data is yours. You can export it at any time, and it is exported to you in a documented format before any engagement closes. The system stops running. If you'd rather keep it running, the ownership option is available at that point as well. Ending the retainer doesn't force you to lose what was built.

Typically four to eight weeks from signing to a working system, depending on how many tools it connects to and what state the data is in. A scoping conversation and a written plan come first, so the timeline is agreed before anything is committed to.

Access to the tools and data the system will work with, one person who can make decisions, and a few hours in the first two weeks while we map how work actually moves through your business. After that, very little. The point of the engagement is that it runs without your attention.

Usually. Most business software exposes an interface we can build against, and where one doesn't there's normally a way around it. Which connections are viable is settled in the scoping conversation, so you find out before committing rather than after.

Hosting region for a system we build for you is decided at the start of the engagement, not inherited from a default. If data residency is a hard requirement, raise it in the first conversation and we will tell you plainly whether we can meet it. This website is separate and its processing is already fixed: enquiries, quote requests, bookings and chat are handled by Supabase in Tokyo, Resend in Tokyo, Cloudflare, cal.com and Moonshot AI, which the privacy policy names individually along with where each one processes. Nothing from a client system is ever sent to the chat assistant.

That's the normal starting point, and mapping them is part of the work. Automating a process nobody has examined just makes the confusion faster, so we don't start there. The first phase establishes how things actually happen, as opposed to how they're supposed to.
